Sexual Behavior Treatment Program (SBTP) - Oasis Psychological Services

Sexual Behavior Treatment Program (SBTP)

We provide a comprehensive, trauma-informed treatment program for adolescents, both male and female ages 12 to 17, who have demonstrated sexual misbehavior. All clinical staff for the SBTP have the following certifications: Certified Juvenile Sex Offender Specialist (CJSOTS), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and Certified Family Trauma Professional (CFTP).

The SBTP consists of individual, group, and family therapy. All youth undergo an in-depth intake process that includes an interview with the youth, their involved family members, and their probation officer (if applicable). In addition to the interviews, the youth are given a variety of psychological tests which assess the youth’s intellectual functioning, mental health functioning, familial and interpersonal relationships, criminal attitudes and beliefs, thinking errors, and overall risk for re-offense. Based on the results of the intake process, the youth is rated as either low, moderate, or high risk. The youth are then assigned to the proper level of treatment, and an individualized treatment plan based on their needs is developed.
