Sandra Knight, Psy.D., CCTP
Dr. Knight has worked in the field of psychology for 15 years. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Texas Tech University, her Master’s Degree from Angelo State University, and her Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, Phoenix. Dr. Knight completed her internship at Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems in Pennsylvania. Her predoctoral training and experience included working extensively in crisis intervention, providing mobile crisis services to Maricopa County and surrounding areas. Her training also included conducting neuropsychological evaluations on individuals with varied histories, including stroke and brain-injury, developmental disabilities, and dementia. During her post- doctoral years, Dr. Knight assisted in the operation and management of a residential crisis service. Her experience there included conducting individual, group, and family therapy, conducting psychological and neuropsychological assessments, and supervising predoctoral interns and practicum students. She has been trained in providing trauma-informed and empirically supported treatments and is certified in the Trauma Recovery and Empowerment program (TREM) and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).
In addition to her work at Oasis Psychological Services, Dr. Knight provides cognitive rehabilitation services to older adults who are residing in the community as well as in assisted living facilities, and she is the clinical supervisor for the state of Arizona and Texas within this organization. She is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Phoenix and Southern New Hampshire University.
At Oasis Psychological Services, Dr. Knight conducts psychological assessments to individuals who are involved with the Department of Child Safety and applying for Social Security Disability. Dr. Knight also conducts neuropsychological evaluations.
